Meet...Hunter K. Smith*

Hunter WAS a desperate housewife—sick, diseased, poisoned, uninformed and hood-winked—living life in a hazy state of ignorant bliss. She had serious sinus problems, seven miscarriages—yes, seven—invasive surgeries, never-ending mouth ulcers, one emergency Caesarean section to see their much longed-for baby, chronic skin cancer, stitches everywhere, COPD, neck and back injuries, fatigue and regularly vomited after eating. The list goes on. Half-dead, half-alive, she kept going. There seemed to be no exit.

Do you recognise her symptoms and desperation in your own life? Hunter won the game that you can win too.

As a horse lover and care giver, she decided to experiment with her horses’ diet, using plants and other nutrients to mitigate terrifying vet bills, which are routinely $5,000-$10,000 for a sick horse. To the shock of everyone, this method worked and she has never had vet fees for the horses she has owned (to the date of final edit of this book).

The author then had the task of working on her own abysmal health. A horrific stay in hospital during a serious, misdiagnosed kidney infection convinced her that something needed to change. She simply connected all the dots regarding her diet and environment and realised that the food she was eating—and not eating—had been destroying her health. After years of thorough scientific research—guess what? Success. Success. Success.

Her husband was misdiagnosed for one year. His infection turned out to be life threatening cancer, followed by surgery, several months of chemo, and radiation. All hands were on deck to bring his life back from the brink of hell. While the doctors helped save his life in the end, they told the author that food medicine was hogwash and openly laughed. The dieticians said her husband was too sick to worry about nutrition and to feed him ice cream, amongst other deplorable foods she would not feed to the cat.

Her husband decided to eat simple foods and plants to aid in his recovery. He suffered zero side effects from chemo although he received the highest doses of chemo that it is safe to give an adult.

The author’s daughter has not taken medication for severe asthma for a few years and is usually symptom-free these days.

Were they lucky or did Carlo perform a miracle?

This is not a cure-all book for anyone; however, the author understands that in her own experience, most chronic cancers and illnesses have been preventable. She describes in detail what has worked for her family and their adored animals. She hopes that by revealing her way out of the poisoned maze, you can find it too.

The author lives at home with her family at last and it feels so good. You can find her enjoying a posh glass of Chardonnay and a view of heaven from earth.

All The Best

Hunter
