Speaking UP. Can You Do It?*
As a public speaker I joined Toastmasters to gain confidence where a whole new world slowly blazed 2 bright, right here, in front of me: new friends, more education on personal/work advocacy, through an ordinary/special Pathways to Knowing. I had little clues that acute listening skills are treasured presents learned along the various topics towards effectively communicating with anyone, and for creating Ideas worth Sharing.
In our cities where Freedom of Speech is being eroded at a confusing rate, by plenty of greedy ass-a-holics, Speaking Out is sometimes viewed as negative and troublesome. As an author I now SEE that unless one has massive propaganda carriers, Paid Lobbyists, marketing to the MAX, Big Bucks, and In The Know skills, we have almost diddly squat chance of berthing our Talents 4 Genuine Public Interest, or to contribute in society and Truly Serve. Walking. Circles. In. The. Mustard. Makes me Mad as Hell, and Louder!
The Good News is that our Best Allies are OURSELVES/Each Other, and relationships formed through shared hobbies and interests. Remember the Civil Rights Movement and ALL Lives Matter? Yes. Its worldwide success was all about Getting Together. Stacked Up with Courage to Take Our Piece of Peace...
