Melbourne Moments*

We had a holiday in Melbourne a few weeks ago, a place I had wanted to re-visit. I have often dreamed of jumping into a time machine to 23.12.1993 after I first laid eyes on Melbourne with a work colleague who had invited me to her family home for Christmas. The City Sights didn't disappoint. Normally, we Go Go Go as tourists, but this Slow Motion Current of Electric Energy sucked us in, boots n'all. We sat around eating, drinking, relaxing, talking and people watching, squeezed in between a few art and photo exhibitions. We even had lunch at Young & Jacksons Hotel in full view of the famous naked Chloe hanging from ceiling to floor (since 1909) in her framed portrait glory, with endless admirers! More in Perth, where we were first advised to give her a visit.

AND what about the well known graffiti laneways alive and luminous? Artists, some with no so-called homes, painting splendour on uneven rock faces as we stood watching, holding our breaths, trying not to catch flies. Cohesive to the End tho' @ ArtShare.

BUT it was the diverse nationalities, warm friendly faces and assortment of worldwide food ideas that transfixed my gaze walking the streets. Plant based food options everywhere we went, which are essential to counter The Climate Crises happening right now. We debated over where to have every single morsel of food and drink because the three of us had 'a Great Idea' for dinner, over there, yonder! How come these foodies in Melbourne from all over the joint get on so well together? Totally. Tolerant.

This sculpture in photo below, which I took in Melbourne, sums it up really, Interface... WE SHARE THIS WORLD (Reference: www.gillieandmarc.com, two people working in concert uniting us, one by one, through global art projects). Hey, check out their Dogman and Rabbitgirl on Sixth Avenue, New York: "As unlikely animal kingdom companions, the rabbit and the dog represent diversity and togetherness, without a definitive race, religion or culture, they symbolise ALL people as One." [https://gillieandmarc.com/products/paparazzi-dogman-rabbitgirl-spotted-sixth-avenue-new-york]. Art. Brilliance. Through. Story. Telling. @ #TravelEverywhereWithLove. Sculpture below spun me out so much I had to go back and see him every day of our holiday! Just Because. One reason being our dogs at home love organic red apples.

Who needs a static boxed house in the burbs when one could travel forever through the Winds of Change? My friend George does exactly that, and is the richest person I know, in Spirit. He's teaching me about frequency right now through Dr Bruce Lipton. Stayin' Alive.

Pic below is another I took in Melbourne. I enjoy cities occasionally as there is a slight reminder of Dublin and its surrounds about them, and my kinda wild childhood/20s. I'm very glad there were no SmartPhones around then!!

This pic above evokes thoughts of a meditation I do where I'm hovering over a few tall buildings on top of the world having a glass of Chardy on a Long Roped Swing attached to a sky high Peppermint Tree, letting the world drift by, inhaling the heavenly mist. How insignificant my challenges appear, from Up There...

More Melbourne Moments in the future? Yes Yes Yes. In a Heartbeat!

Where do you like going on holidays? Tell me your story @ www.hunterksmith.com and thanks for reading my blog. If you enjoyed it, please Share.

PS: I regularly write through my book characters. As I spend most of my time with George, he's the ONE I write about the most. I look forward to the day when my book is made into a movie and George comes to life, this time on screen. If you'd like to read more about him plus other wild and meaningful characters, you'll find them in my latest book which is titled Creating with a Bang! and received Three 5 Star Reviews from The International Review Panel.
