Are Organic Oats the Best Kept Secret of All Time?*
Oats contain Protein, Fibre, Copper, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc, Folate, Phosphorus, Manganese, Antioxidants, Vitamins B1 and B5. They're cheap as chips and nutritionally Up There. I came across them again by accident while helping to treat skin cancer a few years ago. I mixed the oats with banana and maple syrup 4 The New Me! I have thankfully never had a weight problem but oats are good for weight loss, and decrease the risk of childhood asthma. Digestion and Diabetes also respond well to this food. Oat milk is a cinch to make. I do remember disliking oats with a passion when I was a child, that sloppy goo porridge for breakfast. Disgusting. All on its own with no flavour, half cold, because all I could do was sit at the table and stare at it, spoon waving in the air, whinging, to no avail. Makes me gag even thinking of it.
Are we too busy to listen when the answer is under our nose, and very near to our precious ears? You may be surprised to hear that a number of very humble foods can reverse DNA damage.
I use oats almost every day now, usually adding them with other foods like apple desserts, vanilla rice pudding, plant milk shakes and soups. Blended oats in coffee is my favourite. The dogs love oats and gobble them down way too fast for breakfast about twice a week. I am careful not to give too much to the animals because oats may swell in the stomach.

My friend George has flatly refused to try my coffee with blended oats. I should have said nothing and offered the warm inviting cup to him with a poker face on, as if nothing had changed. But he'd know because he uses peripheral vision and IT can see through mountains. There's just NO messin' with George and his Coffees! Mind you, he did say he would consider a drop of Lulu's home made Whiskey in his Coffee next time.
